Automated office work is finally here, with a new version of Microsoft Office being launched in Australia, the company announced on Wednesday.
The software will allow people to work from anywhere, whether it’s a smartphone or desktop computer, and automate a range of tasks, from scheduling emails to preparing paperwork.
“Today’s new Office software is the culmination of over a year of hard work by our team and our customers, who have made the decision to adopt Office 365 as our productivity suite of choice,” said Greg Bryant, Microsoft Australia’s general manager of customer and enterprise products.
“It allows people to access Office 365 on a wide range of devices, including tablets, PCs, tablets, smartphones, and wearables.
This is an exciting milestone for us and for the industry, and we look forward to seeing the changes in the future.”
The software will be available to users in Australia on September 21.
The Microsoft Australia office automation platform will allow users to work on their computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones, including for a number of tasks including scheduling email, preparing paperwork, emailing friends and family, and sending a fax.
Users can download the software through the Microsoft Store or by contacting Microsoft’s Australian office support team.
Office 365 is a Microsoft Office suite of productivity suites for employees and customers.
Microsoft says the suite can be used to manage all of your work across multiple platforms, including Office 365 Enterprise, Office 365 Business, and Office 365 Personal.
Microsoft says the new suite is available for Windows 10 and will come with features that include “smart email” capabilities that can be configured on your device and through a portal on the Microsoft website.
Microsoft also announced that a new Office 365 personal productivity tool, called Word, will be launched in the US, Australia and New Zealand later this year.
Microsoft also said it will release a “premium Office 365 subscription plan” for customers in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America, where it offers a similar package for Office 365 and Office Suite.
